CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP TUTOR ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

Stevenson College Edinburgh is on the hunt for volunteer tutors to help teach English to speakers of other languages.

The college is holding information sessions on Friday 20 and 27 January 2012 at Stevenson’s Leith campus at Duncan Place.

A hugely rewarding experience, volunteers give weekly lessons to students who cannot attend regular classes due to work or family commitments.

Lessons take place in the students own at times agreed between the student and the volunteer.

West Lothian Financial Inclusion Network have been fortunate in securing funding mainly from Leader , to run a project taking advice into the rural areas of West Lothian. To do this we need to employ an administrator /bookkeeper .

Regal Project 2012 is about engaging the community in an exciting venture to promote the facility as a major community arts venue. We are keen to provide new opportunities that will involve people of all ages who have an interest in the Theatre and the arts. We are particularly keen to hear from people who would be willing to volunteer a few hours of their time each week to make this project work.
