Funding
We can help you with a funding application
The Voluntary Sector Gateway can give guidance on completing funding application forms. We can also look over draft forms and give feedback. It is always a good idea to have someone from outwith your organisation or group to have a look at your form before you send it off, as it is very easy to miss a small detail which can make your whole application invalid. The Big Lottery Fund estimates that over 60% of unsuccessful applications it receives do not make it through because the form has not been completed correctly.
We can help you to identify new funding sources…
The Voluntary Sector Gateway holds a range of information on funding opportunities.

Voluntary Action Fund
Investing In Social Change and Community Action: The Voluntary Action Fund (VAF) is an independent grant-making body which invests in voluntary and community based organisations across Scotland. The funding and support provided enables organisations to implement projects that challenge inequalities and overcome barriers to active participation in community life.
CashBack for Communities
CashBack for Communities Fund: The funding comes from money and goods seized from organised crime under the Scottish Government’s Proceeds of Crime initiative. Funding of £4m has been made available to YouthLink Scotland to operate a grants programme supporting organisations to improve the range of activities for young people within their local communities.
Youth projects throughout Scotland are invited to apply for funding from a £2.5 million pot of cash created from the proceeds of crime.
