Looking for advice on how to reduce your carbon footprint, and your bills?
Scotland’s Climate Week – which takes place between 26 September & 2 October – is an annual event designed to help raise awareness of the global climate emergency and celebrate Scotland’s leadership in taking action against climate change.
Across the country schools, local authorities, businesses and charities will be hosting climate awareness events.
West Lothian Council will mark Climate Week with a series of initiatives cumulating in an event called: “Save Money, help the Planet” which is being held on 1 October between 2pm-4pm at the West Lothian Civic Centre, Livingston.
Members of the public are invited to attend where there will be a range of stall holders to provide advice on energy usage, reducing food waste, growing your own, finical support available and reuse/recycle. The council’s Advice Shop will also be on hand to provide advice on their “Feeling the Pinch” fund, fuel grant and other cost of living help.”
The council’s Climate Week events have a focus on tackling rising costs and helping those in fuel poverty while also reducing associated carbon emissions and contributing to wider climate change objectives.
