Connecting Scotland has announced a 3rd phase to provide iPads and Chromebooks, 24 months unlimited data, and support to users who are on a low income, digitally excluded and seeking employment. Previous phases have been open to those who are low income, digitally excluded and either shielding from Covid-19, families with children, young care leavers, the elderly and those with disabilities. To date Connecting Scotland has provided over 36,000 devices to 590 organisations across Scotland.
Applications for the programme can come from public sector and third sector organisations, and the window for applications run from 7th June to 5th July 5pm. Applications from individuals cannot be accepted. If you are aware of any colleagues representing the target demographic, or in contact with organisations working with this demographic, please let them know.
