West Lothian Council is providing, in partnership with Scottish Government and the Local Employability Partnership, £200,000 of grant funding to the Voluntary and Third sector to support the delivery of employability interventions and support.
What are the priorities that the funding is looking to address?
The additional grant is open to all properly constituted Third and Voluntary sector organisations operating in West Lothian that can enhance the current delivery of employability support and interventions to young people aged 16 – 24. Provision must clearly complement existing provision or provide support where there is deemed to be non-available for a key client group.

The provision is to focus on supporting the following groups of young people:
• Unemployed (excluding those in full time education)
• Young people with additional Support needs;
• About to leave school without a positive destination;
• School leavers without a positive destination;
