DESCRIPTION:Date: Thursday\, 26th September 2024 \nTimes: 10:00 am – 11:00 am (MEL Workshop)\, 11:30 am – 12:00 pm (In-Person Networking) \nLocation: The Gateway\, 20-22 King Street\, Bathgate\, EH48 1AX \nThe event is FREE and will be delivered online –  with the opportunity to join from The Gateway Offices\, 20-22 King Street\, Bathgate. \nWhilst many of us know that we are delivering great work in the community and changing lives on a daily basis\, proving and evidencing this can be tricky! Whether it’s lack of time\, staff resource\, tools and systems or just knowing where to start\, managing your monitoring\, evaluation and learning process is a daunting task. Nevertheless\, it’s increasingly important to be able to collect insightful data on your work\, show that you are achieving your desired outcomes and report back to trustees\, funders\, local authorities\, partners and stakeholders. \nWe have partnered up with Upshot to shed light on this area. Upshot is a social enterprise with a mission to help any non-profit organisation to manage\, monitor and evidence the amazing work they do in their communities. They provide a range of consultancy services\, alongside a simple-to-use online platform for data collection and reporting. \nIn a 1.5 hour\, introductory workshop we will cover: \n\nWhat is monitoring\, evaluation and learning (MEL) and why is it important?\nThe MEL Cycle – from planning and data collection to learning from your data and improving your programmes\nTerminology – busting the jargon\nChallenges and solutions to data collection\nPulling it all together – telling data driven stories\n\nBonus! (For in person attendees): \n\nNetwork with fellow non-profit professionals. Connect and share your experiences.\nMeet with our membership officer\, Tracy.
