DESCRIPTION:Are You Familiar with Naloxone? Lifesaving Training for Frontline Staff \nEvent Description:Scotland continues to face a devastating public health emergency\, with the highest rate of drug-related deaths in Europe. Naloxone is a lifesaving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose — and anyone can use it in an emergency. \nVSGWL and West Lothian Drug and Alcohol Service (WLDAS) are working together to equip local organisations with the skills and resources to respond effectively. \nAs part of this initiative\, free Naloxone training is available to frontline staff across West Lothian. Training can take as little as 15 minutes\, or 1.5 hours if you’d like to train your service to supply Naloxone kits under NHS legal guidance. Sessions are delivered face-to-face\, either 1-to-1 or in group settings\, depending on what suits your team. \nAll trained staff will receive their own Naloxone kits\, and services can also be supplied with kits for wider distribution. \nBy taking part\, your organisation will: \nBe better equipped to respond in the event of a suspected overdose \nGain awareness of local drug and alcohol support services \nContribute to saving lives in your community \nLet’s work together to ensure every service in West Lothian is prepared. \nBook your place now: \n23rd June – 13:30 – 15:30
