Banks Community Fund – Banks Rusha Surface Coal Mine Community Fund

The Banks Rusha Surface Coal Mine Community Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to community groups, voluntary organisations and the local community in the area surrounding the Banks Rusha Surface Coal Mine. The geographical boundaries for fund eligibility is restricted to the Fauldhouse and Breich Valley Ward. The priority will be for projects in Breich and benefiting the community closest to the Rusha site. Groups or voluntary organisations from other neighbouring settlements may apply for grants provided that they demonstrate that residents from the area around the Rusha site and from Breich may also benefit from the project. NOTE: It is an important criteria of this Fund that if your application is successful you will be required to pay 10% of the amount awarded to the Banks Group No grant funding will be paid to your organisation until this money has been received.
