Since Co-op launched their new Membership proposition in September 2016 their members have helped raise over £14 million for 4,000 local cases across the UK. Every time members buy Co-op own-branded products and services, 1% of what they spend goes into the fund to be shared amongst local causes who apply to be part of it.
It’s now your chance to be involved! Applications for the fund are now open until the 8th August. The selected causes will then be live for 11 months (November 2017 to October 2018) when they can work alongside Co-op Members to encourage them to contribute more money to the fund and also develop useful relationships with them and the Co-op stores.
Who’s eligible to apply for the Local Community Fund?
· Registered charities
· Charitable organisations registered with HMRC
· Scouts, Guides or Woodcraft Folk groups
· Registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs
· Churches who are an excepted charity
