Eligibility
We are currently seeking applications to both the BO’NESS or LINLITHGOW Tesco stores for the July – Sept and following customer votes.
NOTE – Tesco especially want to see applications with the theme of Food Security to either store.
Groups that usually have other core activities are welcome to apply for the costs of cookery and nutrition lessons / food growing / community meals / healthy snacks for an existing programme etc. etc.
Summary
The Tesco Community Grants Programme has 3 themes supporting firstly, Children, Young People and Families, secondly Food Security and thirdly Staff Nominated projects/groups.
The plan is that each 3 monthly customer vote includes one of each of the above 3 themes where groups will be awarded 1st £1500; 2nd £1000 and 3rd £500.
This is also a good opportunity to promote local groups in a public place for a good length of time.
The scheme is open to registered charities and not-for-profit organisations, via an on-line application form – see more here https://www.greenspacescotland.org.uk/grant-funding
Eligible applications submitted by mid-May will be considered for the July – Sept customer vote with awards in Nov.
Applications that are unsuccessful in this selection round will await consideration for the Oct – Dec customer vote with awards in Feb ’23.
Awardees have a year to spend the grant so applicants can look forward in their costings.
