Job Title: Family Support Coordinator
Hours: 37 hours per week (Full-time)
Salary: £22,162– £25,098
Home-Start West Lothian is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five.
Home-Start are recruiting a Family Support Coordinator (who will be responsible to the Scheme Manager) who will supporting local families by conducting needs assessments, signposting and introducing families to appropriate support within their community ensuring all the key needs of the families are met.
The role will involve the supervising, recruitment, training and support a team of volunteers. Our volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.
The Family Support Coordinator will assist in all aspects of Home-Start’s work. Qualifications and experience of working with children and families is essential, together with a good standard of education (HND Level 8 or equivalent). The role will require sensitivity, excellent communication and organisation skills. Use of your own car (expenses paid) is necessary. An enhanced disclosure check will be required.
You should understand and be committed to the role of the voluntary sector and be able to work on your own initiative and in a challenging environment.
