Moore House Academy in Bathgate are looking for volunteers to help transform and maintain their very large school garden. They hope to use the garden for planting veg to use in their home economics class and also to donate to local food banks as well as a local sheltered housing complex. They would also love to grow flowers and make up hanging baskets and garden tubs so they could have a spring fayre next year. This would help develop a social enterprise project for the school pupils, assist them in gaining SQA qualifications and raise funds to help them re-invest in the garden. The garden is huge and the possibilities are endless. It would be fabulous if they could get help from people who love gardening, have knowledge and experience of planting, veg, fruit and flowers and how to transform gardens and most importantly can work with children.
