West Lothian Council are inviting groups and organisations to submit bids for funding of up to £5000 as part of Blackburn Community Choices.
Blackburn Community Choices is a process that enables local communities to decide how public funding is spent. This will focus on improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and families in Blackburn and is a pilot project as part of the wider development of Participatory Budgeting (PB) in West Lothian.
They are inviting groups and organisations to come forward with innovative and interesting ideas and projects that aim to improve one of the following aspects of health and wellbeing in Blackburn:
Once projects have been verified to ensure they meet the criteria, they will be invited to showcase their project or idea through marketplace community event on Friday 27th March in Blackburn Partnership Centre. Members of the community will attend and visit all the projects then vote on which projects they think best meet the needs of Blackburn.
More information on Blackburn Community Choices can be accessed via our webpage, where you will find our guidance document which gives details on who can apply and the criteria for funding, and the application form.
Please circulate this email to any group or organisation you think would be interested in getting involved.
