Linlithgow Community Development Trust have been successful in getting Community Jobs Scotland funding for a one-year Marketing Assistant post based in Linlithgow, to help manage the new community MyLinlithgow website being launched next week.
They are looking to find a suitable applicant by Friday 15th Feb!
The post will help maintain and promote the community website. They will respond to incoming requests for changes/information, and also spend time calling/face to face with businesses and groups to keep them engaged and update their data.
They will be fully trained and supported both by current staff and by the trustees.
The post has to be applied for via a jobcentre eligibility form. “The following vacancies are only open to vulnerable unemployed 16 to 29 year olds, including carers, early service leavers (armed forces), care experienced, disabled, young people with convictions and young people on an Activity Agreement who are not on the Work Programme, Work Choice, Specialist Employment Support, Work First Scotland, Work Able Scotland or Fair Start Scotland.”
Deans St Andrew’s centre Foodbank are currently recruiting a new centre coordinator for their Foodbank Centre, which is a voluntary post.
Deans St Andrew’s centre plays an important part in supporting the people who need this service in West Lothian. During 2018, the Distribution Centre at St Andrew’s provided an emergency supply of food to 165 adults and 130 children, that is a total of 295 emergency food parcels.
