A SURVEY OF PEOPLE’S EXPERIENCE OF BAR & CHILD WELFARE REPORTS IN SCOTTISH FAMILY LAW PROCEEDINGS.
Over the years, many people have been concerned about how the family law system works in Scotland. Our family law has been reviewed and a revised Children (Scotland) Bill is now being scrutinised by the Justice Committee of the Scottish Parliament. You can find out more about that here:
We have found that there has been very little research into Child Welfare (what were called Bar) Reports from those on the receiving end. So Dr Sue Whitcombe, an experienced Chartered Psychologist, has set up this factual survey for any and all who have been party to, or subjects (children now grown up) of, Scottish family law proceedings. NB the survey is not about the Children’s Hearings system.
The survey opens with full details and assurances on how and what the survey covers and aims to achieve, and on all aspects of the way it has been set up. It’s straightforward. It should take about 10 minutes to complete.
