West Lothian Council are currently undergoing engagement and consultation to gather feedback to help us shape the Children’s Services Planning for the next 3 years.
Your feedback will support the development of key priorities which will underpin both the Children’s Services Plan 2020 – 2023 and Children’s Services Commissioning Plan. It is important that the development of local services takes account of local need, is aligned to national strategy and fits with the West Lothian Community Planning Partnership priorities.
The Scottish Government have published guidance to help inform the planning process: statutory-guidance-part-3-childrens-services-planning-second-edition-2020 . This states:
To assist with the development of the plan, it would be helpful if you used knowledge of your own area of work to think about what currently works well and offer suggestions on any aspects of service delivery across the whole of West Lothian which you think could be improved, changed or developed during the course of the new plans. We want to reach as many people as possible and input from individuals, teams, services and organisations is encouraged.
We have attached a proforma for completion and we would ask that you circulate this to colleagues you feel would be appropriate to complete this. Apologies in advance for any duplicate e-mails but we would rather relevant people receive this engagement invitation more than once than not at all.
As Community Planning Partners we know that you have well established links with those that use West Lothian Services.
We would appreciate if you can use the proforma or other engagement tools to collect feedback from those that use your services, carers and families to help us inform the priorities for the Children’s Services Plan. You may wish to do this through your existing forums or service user groups.
To help us complete our engagement plan we would require the type of engagement undertaken, the number of participants and the feedback collated.
PLEASE RETURN COMPLETED DOCUMENTS TO DENISE ARBEITER BY FRIDAY 28TH FEBRUARY 2020: email@example.com Tel: 01506 281260
