As you may be aware, Deaf Express have a youth service for young people aged 10 – 18 who may be themselves D/deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, or have a parent/sibling who is deaf. After receiving confirmation of additional funding from Big Lottery (http://www.deafaction.org.uk/deaf-action-youth-service-awarded-125977-by-big-lottery/) they are really pleased that the Youth Service is continuing!
They would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Jack Speirs, their new Youth Work Coordinator. Jack started in post on Monday 13th August, so is still finding his feet around the job but it would be great if you were happy to contact him and provide more information about your work. It was decided that there would be a slight change to the Youth Service structure, and will be overseeing the Youth Service work. So please feel free to get in touch with Alison Hendry, as Jack and I will be working closely together.
