Young Scot are hosting a series of events in partnership with COSLA. These events aim to look at the ways that Young Scot can support your Local services for young people. In particular, we are showcasing our digital tools and the Smart technology contained in the Young Scot National Entitlement Card.
Young Scot are the youth information and citizenship charity for Scotland and provide a wide range of services for young people and Local Authorities. Many of the services that we already deliver across the country are linked to the health and wellbeing of young people. For example, several Authorities use the Young Scot National Entitlement Card to provide cashless catering for young people in receipt of free school meals, smart travel for targeted groups of young people or gym membership for care experienced young people.
These seminars have come from our conversations with Local Authority staff over the last few months. Young Scot works closely with Local Authorities across Scotland, mainly with youth work services. We know that now, more than ever, authorities and their key public sector partners need to be working efficiently and effectively, and we think Young Scot services can help.
Bookings for the free seminars are now live on Eventbrite. There are four events, North, South, East and West and we hope to see you at one of these.
Note that you do not need to attend the closest event. Each event will be similar but with different partner inputs – you are welcome to attend more than one, discussions are sure to be different each time.
