The event was well attended – this included 35 different organisations, Council colleagues, Board members and the VSGWL team. We had 36 evaluation responses on the day.
All of those who completed the evaluation form learned about the new services offered by the VSGWL and that 78% felt that they have informed VSGWL of what support is needed for the sector over the next year.
We started the event with a networking lunch and 89% of people said they had an opportunity to network. Many of the comments we received highlighted how valuable the networking opportunity was and requested more time in future!
From the responses, 95% thought that the presentation and information provided on the services were relevant and that 92% were likely to use the information.
We had an activity to discuss the ways we can improve the Voluntary Organisations Budget for next year – 65% of people felt they had provided comments with 10% abstaining (possibly because they do not receive Council funding). The second part of the activity asked for people to provide comments on the wider strategy and vision for funding of the Third Sector.
Delegates welcomed the opportunity to contribute to the focus of the VSGWL over the next year and help shape the vision and strategy for the TSSG.
The venue for event was deemed suitable by 95% and 70% thought the catering was suitable.
Crucially, 98% of the responders felt that overall the event was worthwhile, and all think we should hold a similar event in the future.
