WWF’s Earth Hour is an annual global event which encourages individuals, communities and businesses to switch off the lights for one hour.
This year’s Earth Hour is on Saturday 30 March at 8.30pm.
Earth Hour can also highlight local campaigns and raise awareness on climate action. The local authority toolkit (link below) provides some ideas and examples of what others have done in the past (e.g. promote Earth Hour through social media, encourage local communities/business to sign up).
I would be grateful if you could let my colleague, Peter Rogers (Energy Manager) know if your organisation is planning any activities or if you have identified any ‘switch off’ locations for Earth Hour - Peter.Rogers@westlothian.gov.uk
