The Hielan Coo Ceilidh Band is a lively duo playing toe-tapping ceilidh music on accordion & piano with backing music to give a BIG sound from a duo. We can also call the dances if you are a bit unsure, or alternatively we can demonstrate the dances and let you follow what we do.
All types of ceilidh dance are covered – from well-known ones like Strip the Willow & the Gay Gordons to lesser-known ones such as the Social Swing and the John O’Groats Reel. All guaranteed to have good fun.
We can also provide a pop duo along with the ceilidh music to appeal to all and cover a wide range of styles from 50s, 60s & 70s to present day, along with country, folk and rock’n’roll – something for everyone.
Alternatively, you can also have a mobile disco with the ceilidh music. Again, we have something for everyone with over 7000 different tracks to choose from, covering all musical tastes.
We can also provide a light show to add extra atmosphere to your evening!
