The Trust’s aims involve conservation, education and access. Its objectives are outlined in the Deed of Trust as follows: – To preserve Hopetoun House and grounds as a National monument and to protect and improve amenities; to preserve for the benefit of the nation the furniture, paintings, manuscripts and other articles of interest associated with the house and grounds; and to facilitate and encourage public access to the house and grounds and their contents while promoting their study and appreciation for educational purposes.
