They are a group working to develop a derelict site into a ‘Garden for Life’: a community garden for everyone from Polbeth and West Calder and the surrounding areas in West Lothian. Their aim is to provide opportunities for local people, schools and community groups to enjoy and access the outdoors, and take part in a range of environmental and leisure activities. They run regular Green Gym sessions supported by TCV, and have reinstated fruit and vegetable growing areas, have a dedicated Woodland Management Team, are the home of The Cat Welders Explorer Scout Unit, have a variety of school-led projects and work with West Lothian Council running a bike library and led cycle rides.
