West Lothian Club was founded in 1962 and our members, who come from diverse business and professional backgrounds , have given many years of service to a variety of projects both local and international. Over the years we have planted trees, cleaned burns, lobbied for the abolition of plastic carrier bags and helped to provide wells and loos by fund raising for Water Aid.
We work in cooperation with other Soroptimist clubs ,regionally across southern Scotland, nationally across the whole of Scotland and within a United Kingdom framework on behalf of women and girls. Internationally,we work to support the lobbying and advocacy work at the United Nations on behalf of women and girls as well as fundraising for specific projects which support women and girls.
