West Lothian Council has launched a consultation on whether temporary Spaces for People measures should be kept.
Funded by the Scottish Government, these measures aimed to support people to walk, cycle or wheel for essential trips and exercise during the Covid-19 pandemic.
They were introduced during 2020 included reduced 20mph and 40mph speed limits, new cycle lanes, wider footways and parking suspensions.
The two-month consultation runs from 1 December 2021 to 31 January 2022 and asks for views on whether some, or all, of the Spaces for People measures should be retained after the temporary period.
To take part in the consultation, please visit https://www.surveyhero.com/s/Spaces_for_People_Consultation. Please allow at least five minutes to complete the survey.
We hope you will take part in the survey so we get as wide range of views as possible. Please feel free to share this with anyone who you think may wish to take part.
The responses will be reported to a meeting of West Lothian Council in March 2022, where the Council will be able to decide if any of the measures are to be retained on a permanent basis.
