Sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund (SFF) provides financial assistance to organisations that enhance or construct new sporting and physical activity venues.
This fund is available to a wide range of groups, including schools, area sports associations, sports trusts, and charities. Grants of up to £200,000 are available, and for projects in areas of high deprivation, the maximum grant can be increased to £250,000 (up to 75% of project costs).
Sportscotland prioritises projects and applications that align with the objectives and outcomes of the Return to Sport initiative following the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, projects that effectively demonstrate an inclusive approach, such as Changing Lives Through Sport and Physical Activity, or initiatives targeting participants from underserved populations, including those from areas of high deprivation, individuals with additional needs, or those from ethnic minority communities, will receive preferential consideration.
The fund is open year-round, with application deadlines on April 1st and September 1st each year. The next deadline is Monday, April 1st, 2024.
Those interested in applying should contact sportscotland to discuss their project and eligibility before starting and submitting an application; contact sportscotland by email: facilities@sportscotland.org.uk
