Vaccination is one of the critical ways we are all working together to beat COVID-19.
Vaccinating as many people as possible will help save lives and provide protection to help communities get back to normal.
The NHS has been working with councils, health and social care partnerships and other partners in recent weeks to ensure the vaccination sites are ready.
On Monday, The Pyramids Business Park, Bathgate will open its doors and is expected to vaccinate thousands of people each week. Many of you will have already received letters inviting you to attend. Hopefully this little video is helpful to you and your friends and family.
Remember, lots of information is available on the NHS Inform website and on NHS Lothian’s Vaccine Hub, including a FAQs section.
Stay safe everyone and let’s keep going to help our communities get through this.
Councillor Kirsteen Sullivan posted –
Here’s a video showing what you can expect if you are heading to the Pyramids next week for your vaccination.
I spoke to Alan McCloskey from VSGWL earlier week and he has advised that there will be volunteers on hand to assist – thanks to everyone who has signed up to help out!
A few handy tips re getting there if you don’t drive:
– The First Bus 21 has been re-routed to stop at the Pyramids as has Lothian Country bus 275.
– HCL are offering a free service to vaccination centres for those with mobility accessibility issues.
– Finally, you can request a a taxi if you have mobility/inaccessibility issues by calling the telephone number on your appointment letter.”
