There remains a total of £134,000 in the programme for this financial year and 22/23 with £120,000 available for grants, the balance has been ringfenced to support related training for the sector but may be released back into the available grant funding if not required.
The focus of the Voluntary Organisations Modernisation and Improvement Fund is to support voluntary organisations to become more sustainable, by testing or implementing key changes, as well as support the Council to deliver its strategic priorities as set out in the Corporate Plan and the our communities as we deal with the effects of COVID-19. A brief description of each priority is provided in Appendix 1 at the end of this guidance for your information.
The Voluntary Organisation Modernisation and Improvement Fund offers direct grants to organisations to support transformational change that increases longer-term sustainability to help them better support our communities. The maximum grant available to individual organisations is £7,500. The fund is open to all voluntary organisations, with an annual turnover of under £1M, that deliver services to residents of West Lothian either solely or primarily.
There is no specific deadline with applications being considered on a rolling two monthly cycles as set out in the guidance, until such time as the fund is exhausted.
