Development Officer (Employability)
I joined The Gateway in June 2025 as Development Officer for Employability. My role is all about supporting third sector organisations across West Lothian to strengthen their contribution to helping people into work, volunteering, and training. I work closely with local partners to map services, improve connections, and ensure people from all backgrounds can access meaningful opportunities.
Before joining The Gateway, I worked across the charity and education sectors, supporting young people, families, and refugees. I’ve also organised cultural festivals, led youth activities, and managed social media and marketing for community-based organisations. My passion for this work grew from volunteering – it’s where I saw first-hand how the third sector can create real and lasting change.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young son, volunteering on creative community projects, and developing ideas that bring people together and celebrate culture. There’s always something exciting in the pipeline!
