Working Together to Improve Outcomes for West Lothian
The West Lothian Community Planning Partnership (CPP) brings together public, voluntary, community and private sector organisations to improve the quality of life for people across West Lothian.
Established in 1999, the Partnership works collaboratively to identify local priorities, tackle shared challenges and deliver better outcomes for communities through coordinated planning and action.
Community planning is about ensuring organisations work together—and with local people—to design and deliver services that reflect the needs and aspirations of West Lothian’s communities.
What the Community Planning Partnership Does
The Community Planning Partnership works to:
- Identify the key issues affecting communities across West Lothian.
- Set shared priorities and long-term outcomes.
- Coordinate partnership working between local organisations.
- Improve services through collaboration and shared resources.
- Encourage community involvement in decision-making.
- Reduce inequalities and improve wellbeing across West Lothian.
Its work is guided by the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan (LOIP), which sets out the priorities and actions that partners will work together to achieve.
Community Involvement
Community planning places local people at the centre of decision-making.
The Partnership supports a range of opportunities for residents to have their voices heard, including consultation activities and the West Lothian Citizens Panel, helping ensure services are shaped by the experiences and priorities of local communities.
