Carers UK has announced that nominations are now open for its 60th Anniversary Awards, celebrating the dedication and impact of unpaid carers, community groups, employers, partners, and volunteers across the UK. Nominations close on Thursday 27 June 2025.
Every day, millions of individuals devote their time and energy to caring for loved ones, often without recognition or support. These awards shine a light on the people and organisations who go above and beyond—whether through caring, campaigning, volunteering, or creating carer-friendly workplaces—to build a more inclusive and supportive society.
Carers Scotland is particularly keen to see the achievements of Scotland’s 627,700 unpaid carers recognised and celebrated at a national level.
Submitting a nomination is free, and individuals or organisations can be entered into as many categories as they wish. Each nomination requires a short written submission (up to 500 words) and an optional 30-second video clip. Many categories allow both self-nomination and nominations of others.
If a person, group or organisation has made a meaningful difference to the lives of unpaid carers, Carers UK encourages people to nominate them and celebrate their contribution.
