Age Scotland’s About Dementia project has launched a new round of its Encouraging and Supporting Grassroots Activity (ESGA) Fund, aimed at smaller, community-led organisations supporting people affected by dementia. A total of £310,000 is available for projects across Scotland, with individual awards ranging from £5,000 to £20,000. Projects must begin before 1 April 2026 and run for 12 months.
This year, there is a strong focus on supporting rural and remote communities, where people living with dementia and their unpaid carers often face additional challenges in accessing services. However, the fund is open to all eligible groups delivering dementia-related activities that help people stay connected in their communities.
Applications close on Friday 5 September 2025.
