West Lothian Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund for Adults

The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund (CMHWF) for Adults was established in October 2021 to support local community initiatives that improve mental health and wellbeing. Since its launch, the fund has distributed around £51 million across Scotland, helping grassroots organisations deliver vital services and activities that make a real difference in people’s lives.

The fund has a strong focus on prevention and early intervention, aiming to tackle mental health inequalities and priority issues such as social isolation, loneliness, suicide prevention, and addressing poverty and inequality.

The fund also continues to respond to the ongoing cost of living crisis, providing extra support to those facing socio-economic disadvantage.

In West Lothian, the fund enables local organisations to develop community-led initiatives that strengthen wellbeing, build resilience, and create inclusive, connected communities where adults can thrive.
