Marie Curie is looking for compassionate individuals across West Lothian to join its team of Companion Volunteers, offering emotional and practical support to people in their final year of life within their own communities.
Companion Volunteers provide comfort and companionship to those living with terminal illness — whether through friendly conversation, a listening ear, or simply being a reassuring presence. Their support helps ensure that no one in West Lothian faces the end of life alone.
As part of Marie Curie’s Companion Service, volunteers are matched with people in their local area, making a meaningful difference close to home. Full training and ongoing support are provided, and no previous care experience is needed — just kindness, empathy, and a willingness to help others.
