Scottish Community Mediation Centre has launched its 2026 training calendar, featuring a range of free workshops alongside its well-established courses in mediation, conflict resolution and restorative skills.
The programme includes several short, accessible sessions designed for practitioners, managers and anyone interested in learning more about mediation and restorative approaches.
Training highlights for 2026
Mediation ‘Taster’ Workshop (1.25 hours)
A short introduction to mediation, exploring key principles and outlining how the mediation process works.
Dates: 22 April | 7 September | 8 December
Introduction to Restorative Skills (1.25 hours)
An introductory session covering core restorative definitions and practical skills used by restorative practitioners.
Dates: 29 April | 16 September
Introduction to Restorative Practice (1 day)
Based on the Centre’s accredited six-day Restorative Skills course, this workshop provides an overview of:

the skills required of a facilitator

how a restorative meeting works
