West Lothian Council’s Trade Development Grant is available to support businesses and social enterprises to attend trade exhibitions and events that will help them grow their market beyond the local area.
The grant is aimed at organisations that can demonstrate how attending an exhibition will lead to increased trading income and improved business sustainability.

Funding of up to 50% of eligible costs (excluding VAT)

Eligible costs may include

Exhibition space hire and stand costs

Stand set-up and electricity

Marketing materials (e.g. banners, brochures)

Accommodation and air or rail travel
Important
This funding is intended to support activities that will generate additional trading income. It cannot be used simply to promote services or raise awareness if this does not result in increased sales or revenue.
The grant may be suitable for social enterprises that sell products or services and are looking to expand into new markets.
