The Wise Group is offering a free, fully funded support service for households across Scotland, England and Wales who are struggling with energy bills or experiencing an energy-related crisis.
Their HEAT service provides personalised one-to-one support to help households manage energy costs, reduce fuel debt and access available financial support. The service is designed to support vulnerable households and those most affected by rising energy costs.
Last year alone, the HEAT service:
- Supported more than 23,000 households across the UK
- Reduced £371,000 in fuel debt through direct negotiation with energy suppliers
- Delivered £4.7 million in energy savings
The service can support households who:
- Are struggling with energy costs or fuel debt
- Are unemployed or on low incomes
- Are at risk of losing energy supply
- Need support to stabilise their situation
- Are over 65 or have disabilities or health conditions requiring higher energy use
Support available includes:
- One-to-one support from a dedicated energy mentor
- Help with fuel debt and repayment plans
- Assistance resolving billing issues
- Support to prevent disconnection from supply
- Advice on reducing energy use and lowering bills
- Help accessing grants, schemes and financial support
- Emergency fuel or food vouchers for eligible households
