Are you an unpaid carer, or have you been one in the past?
Carers Scotland is encouraging unpaid carers across Scotland to take part in the State of Caring Survey 2026 – the UK’s largest annual survey exploring the experiences of unpaid carers. The survey is open until Sunday 9 August 2026.
Every response helps build a clearer picture of what life is really like for unpaid carers and provides vital evidence that shapes campaigning, research and policy. This year, the findings will be particularly important as Scotland’s newly elected Government and Parliament consider future decisions about health, social care and support for carers.
Whether you currently care for a family member, friend or neighbour, or have cared in the past, your experiences matter.
By sharing your views, you’ll help ensure carers’ voices are heard and contribute towards improving support for unpaid carers across Scotland and the UK.
Take part
The survey closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 9 August 2026.
