Join Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian (The Gateway), Carers Scotland and Carers of West Lothian for a free event exploring how employers can better recognise and support unpaid carers in the workplace.
Hear about the experiences of working carers, the support available locally and practical steps employers can take to create a more supportive working environment.
The session will also introduce the Carer Positive Award, which recognises employers who support employees balancing work with unpaid caring responsibilities.
The event will include:
- What it means to be an unpaid carer
- Support available from Carers of West Lothian
- A lived-experience perspective from an unpaid carer
- Information about the Carer Positive Award
- Q&A
Tea, coffee and networking will be available from 9.15am, before the main event begins at 10.00am.
This event is free, but advance booking is required.
