EARS Independent Advocacy Service (SCIO) is recruiting for a Service Manager to lead its experienced team of independent advocates delivering services across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Service Manager will be responsible for service delivery, business and people management, helping to ensure the organisation remains compliant, effective and impactful.
EARS provides free independent advocacy support, helping people engage with and navigate systems and services, have their views and wishes heard, and ensure their human rights are upheld.
Role details
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £40,000
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working arrangement: Hybrid, with regular presence across service areas including at least weekly attendance at the EARS office
Closing date: 12pm, Wednesday 30 September 2026
EARS is looking for an effective and compassionate leader with experience of service delivery in care, support or community settings and an understanding of the third sector. Experience of securing funding, managing budgets and finances, reporting to funders and building relationships with stakeholders is also sought. Knowledge or experience of independent advocacy would be beneficial but is not essential.
