The Motability Foundation has announced a major new funding opportunity aimed at strengthening the resilience and sustainability of the UK’s community and shared transport sector.

Through its strategic grant programme, the Foundation will support organisations delivering inclusive transport solutions for disabled people and their communities, with a particular focus on rural and underserved areas. Eligible applicants include charities, social enterprises, and community transport operators.

Funding available

  • Grant size: £50,000 – £1 million

  • Duration: 12 months – 3 years

  • Priorities: projects with long-term impact, collaboration across the sector, environmental sustainability, and innovative approaches to rural and inclusive transport

Application process
Organisations must begin by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) outlining their proposed project. The deadline for EOIs is Friday 30 January 2026. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a full application.

For further details, including eligibility criteria, guidance, and how to submit an EOI, please visit the Motability Foundation website.
