Applications are now open for a new phase of the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme. This fund reinvests criminal assets recovered through the Proceeds of Crime Act into projects that support young people and strengthen communities across Scotland.
From April 2026 to March 2029, up to £26 million will be available to organisations delivering positive opportunities for young people aged 10–25, particularly those at risk of becoming involved in antisocial behaviour, offending, or reoffending.
Funding focus areas:

Safe spaces and meaningful activities to reduce boredom and isolation

Helping young people understand their value and become community leaders

Holistic support for vulnerable young people and their families or caregivers

Support for young people already in conflict with the law to make positive changes
Grant size:
Organisations can apply for grants between £150,000 and £1,500,000.
