The Forte Charitable Foundation’s Small Grants Programme is offering funding to UK-based charities and not-for-profit organisations working to address challenges faced by local communities.

Grants range from £2,000 to £10,000 (average award £9,264) and can be used towards core and revenue costs. Priority will be given to frontline organisations working directly with people in need. To be eligible, organisations must:

  • have an annual income of less than £250,000

  • cover no more than 50% of total project costs (the remaining funding must be secured before payment is made)

Focus Areas

Projects must support communities and address themes such as:

  • community support

  • youth

  • addiction

  • education

  • family services

Geographic Criteria

Applicants must operate in:

  • rural areas with fewer than 10,000 residents, facing economic and geographic isolation, within the bottom 50% of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD)

  • urban areas within the bottom 15% of the SIMD, with projects delivered in the same locality as the applying organisation

Exclusions

Funding is not available for capital projects, campaigning, newly established organisations, or those based outside the UK.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadlines. Interested organisations should first complete the eligibility check on the Foundation’s website. Eligible applicants will then be directed to the online application form.
