SCVO, in partnership with Volunteer Scotland and ACOSVO, has launched the 2025 Voluntary Sector Workforce Survey – a vital opportunity for anyone working or volunteering in Scotland’s third sector to share their experiences.
This survey is open to people in all roles – whether frontline workers, managers, or volunteers – and explores what it’s really like to work in the sector today. It covers:

Management and leadership

Skills and career progression

Future plans
Responses will help build a picture of the sector’s current workforce landscape, informing how organisations can better support and retain staff and volunteers. The findings will be shared widely with employers and used to influence future workforce strategies.
The survey is anonymous, takes 10–25 minutes to complete, and is open until 8 August 2025.
