Improving Access Fund Now Open for Applications

The Improving Access Fund is a major new grant programme delivered as part of the Scottish Government’s £3 million Disability Equality Plan. Jointly designed with Disabled People’s Organisations, the Fund aims to support projects that improve access to essential services and promote independent living, choice and participation for disabled people across Scotland.

Funding priorities

Applications are invited for projects that focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Accessible financial advice and support

  • Inclusive participation in communities and everyday life

  • Improved mental health and wellbeing

Key information

  • Funding is for activity delivered between April 2026 and March 2027

  • £1.5 million is available in total

  • Organisations can apply for up to £80,000, or up to £5,000 for non-incorporated groups

  • The deadline for applications is 12pm (midday) on Monday 19 January 2026
