Following the success of previous funding rounds, Inspiring Scotland has opened applications for the Outdoor Community Play Main Grants Fund 2026–2028. This fund supports community-based opportunities for children and families to play outdoors in local green, blue, and grey spaces, using the Play Ranger model.
The fund is aimed at registered Scottish Charities operating in SIMD 1 and 2 locations, providing free, child-led outdoor play that improves children’s health and wellbeing. Charities can receive up to £20,000 per year, along with capacity building support and opportunities to share and learn from other organisations across Scotland.
This programme is delivered by Inspiring Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government, and runs alongside the Outdoor Community Play Incubator Programme.
