The Living Wage Foundation has announced a new Real Living Wage rate of £13.45 per hour across the UK and £14.80 in London, reflecting the rising cost of living.
At Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian (VSGWL), we are proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage employer, already paying above this new rate.
The Real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate independently calculated based on what people need to live on. Unlike the Government’s National Living Wage, it’s voluntarily paid by over 14,000 employers who believe a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.
We’ll be celebrating this milestone as part of Living Wage Week 2025 (10–16 November), highlighting the positive impact of fair pay across the third sector in West Lothian.
