Living Wage Scotland is encouraging people working in social care across Scotland to take part in a short survey aimed at improving job quality and promoting fair work across the sector.

The survey forms part of a three-year project funded by the The Robertson Trust, which is exploring the challenges faced by both employers and employees in delivering fair work principles in social care.

The project is being led by the Living Wage Scotland team, based within the Poverty Alliance. Alongside understanding workforce experiences, the work will also help shape how the Living Wage accreditation process – including Living Hours – can better support positive change.

Who should take part?

Anyone currently working in social care in Scotland is encouraged to complete the survey. The project team is particularly keen to hear from workers in:

  • Rural areas

  • Island communities

  • Urban settings

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and responses are anonymous.

Why it matters

Feedback from workers will help build a clearer picture of the realities of working in social care and strengthen the evidence base for improving pay, conditions and job security across the sector.
