The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF) has unveiled its new Evidence and Impact Strategy, aiming to strengthen how charities and community groups access and share knowledge to showcase the difference they make.
The strategy sets out a vision for a more connected and informed sector, where organisations can more easily find and share the evidence, ideas, and good practice they need to highlight the impact of their work.
Key proposals include the development of:
-
An online learning bank to bring together valuable insights and resources in one accessible place,
-
Toolkits to support effective evaluation and learning,
-
A network of community advisers to help organisations navigate and apply evidence in practice.
By investing in this infrastructure, TNLCF hopes to reduce duplication, improve learning across the sector, and ultimately help funders and organisations better understand what works – and why.
This new approach reflects a growing recognition that impact isn’t just about numbers, but about stories, learning, and shared understanding.
