Volant Charitable Trust has opened its Large Grants Programme, offering funding to Scottish charities and projects working to tackle social deprivation.
Grants of up to £15,000 per year for up to three years are available to organisations with an annual income of up to £1 million. Funding is administered by Foundation Scotland and can be used to support both project costs and core costs.
Priority funding themes
Applications must address at least one of the following themes:

Poverty and deprivation – including food provision, mental health support and support for vulnerable families

Women – including services for lone mothers, survivors of abuse, women in prison, and antenatal or postnatal support

Children and young people – including counselling and outreach for those affected by neglect, abuse or substance misuse
Application process
The programme operates a two-stage application process, with the Stage 1 deadline on Tuesday 31 March 2026.
